Twelve hours, all year
One degree north of the equator, Singapore's daylight barely moves: sunrise near 07:00 and sunset near 19:00 every single day of the year, with the total swinging only about nine minutes between the extremes. There are no long summer evenings or short winter days — the equator does not do seasons of light.
The equatorial trade-off
The sun climbs almost vertically here, so golden hour is the shortest of any city on this site — often under 25 minutes — and arrives twice a day with little seasonal variation. Singapore also sits east of its UTC+8 zone, pushing solar noon toward 13:10 and making sunsets clock late for a near-equatorial city.
